A Message to Louisiana's Officials and Citizens

In these difficult times, we strongly believe the mission of the Legislative Auditor’s office and our commitment to serve the State, the Legislature, and the citizens of Louisiana should continue, while at the same time we remain cognizant of our responsibility to promote the health and safety of our staff.

We feel it is important to demonstrate that commitment by not standing down during this crisis but by living up to the challenges it presents. To that end, our staff is telecommuting in line with the Governor’s stay-at-home order, but is continuing to work on all current projects. As those projects are completed, we will develop new ones designed to continue our work of fostering accountability and transparency in Louisiana government.

We also want you to know that our office is here to provide any assistance we can. As part of that goal, we have compiled a document with answers to some Frequently Asked Questions to help you navigate these turbulent times. It can be found here.

As we move through this crisis and new issues come to light, we will update the guidance and resources on our website to continue to provide needed information for state and local government and our citizens.
