LLA Receives 'Pass' Rating in Latest Peer Review

The Legislative Auditor was notified today that the LLA has received a peer review rating of “pass” for its quality control system, the highest rating that can be given from an external peer review.

The external review was conducted by a team of auditors from around the country under the auspices of the National State Auditors Association. The reviewers can give ratings of pass, pass with deficiency(ies), and fail.

The quality control system encompasses the office’s organizational structure and the policies and procedures has adopted to provide a reasonable assurance that audits are performed and reported in a way that conforms with national professional standards.

“I am honored that our peers have recognized the quality of our office’s work,” Legislative Auditor Daryl Purpera said. “It is a tribute to the professionalism and abilities of our entire office.”
