ULM Athletic Department Report Correction

The Louisiana Legislative Auditor is reissuing its report on the University of Louisiana at Monroe's Athletic Department, originally issued on February 17, 2016.

Based on the university's original representations to us, we reported that detailed information on ticket sales, including all reconciliations, was not provided by the third party contracted to handle and collect athletic ticket sales on behalf of the university. The university has subsequently determined that detailed information was, in fact, provided by the contractor. The reissued report has been updated to remove the original language relating to the third party contractor.

The report resulted from an annual set of agreed-upon procedures that are used to examine the financial reporting of the athletic department to determine its compliance with NCAA rules and to help the university evaluate its internal controls.
