Legislative Auditor Sets up Email Address for Information Related to New Orleans' Finances
The Legislative Auditor, in conjunction with New Orleans Mayor-elect Helena Moreno and the New Orleans City Council, today announced that a special email address has been established to seek comments, suggestions, and information related to New Orleans’ financial crisis.
Vendors who have yet to be paid for services rendered to the City, as well as members of the public, are especially encouraged to use the email address to pass their information along to the auditor’s office.
Any information that comes through the email address will be considered part of the audit process, Legislative Auditor Mike Waguespack said, which means it will not be public.
“As my office works with Mayor-elect Moreno and the City Council to help New Orleans get back on track financially,” Waguespack said, “it is critical that we gather as much information as possible so we can make the best recommendations possible. I want to encourage the public, vendors, and anyone else who has information relevant to the City’s financial situation to use this email address to contact us.”
