LLA Unveils Redesigned Website

The Legislative Auditor's office has redesigned its website. While the address - www.LLA.La.gov - remains the same, the site's design has been updated, with a focus on specific user communities.

"We hope the changes will make it easier for legislators, officials, and members of the public to find our reports and to use our numerous online resources to find other information they may be looking for," Legislative Auditor Daryl Purpera said.

In addition to LLA reports and press releases, the site provides specific information for CPAs, state and local officials, the media, and anyone else interested in governmental operations, laws, regulations and best practices.

For example, the LLA Legal Section has extensive information on the site related to several topics, including frequently asked questions, white papers, public contracts and purchasing, budgeting, and open meetings and public records requirements. In addition, the LLA’s Center for Local Government Excellence has a section explaining the training programs it offers for local officials and their staffs.

Mr. Purpera invited anyone interested in the LLA's work to take a look at the new website and to contact the office if they have questions or suggestions. "Our goal is always 'Better Information, Better Louisiana,' and I hope the changes we've made will help us in our efforts to accomplish that," he said.
