Reports for St. Tammany Parish Program Starting to Go Public

The first series of reports detailing the additional procedures required by the Legislative Auditor’s Office for St. Tammany Parish agencies receiving $50,000 or more in public funds have begun to roll out over the past few weeks.

The enhanced oversight requirement in St. Tammany was established by Act 774 of the 2014 Regular Legislative Session. The Legislative Auditor’s Office performed detailed assessments of each agency required to have additional oversight. The office then created individualized agreed-upon procedures to be completed by a CPA of the agency’s choice. As of today, a dozen reports have been made public as part of the program.

The first report released through the program was the Louisiana Appellate Project, which went public June 29. It was followed a week later by Northshore Families Helping Families, Inc.
