Yes. R.S. 42:1267 mandates that employees and elected officials of both State and Local agencies with access to the IT assets of their agency shall complete cybersecurity training. As a special district/ political subdivision, a 911 communications district constitutes a local agency for the purpose of R.S. 42:1267.
