R.S. 13:841 provides for the maximum amount that a clerk can charge for filing fees and copies in civil matters, but authorizes clerks to charge a lower amount. R.S. 44:32(C)(1)(b) under the Public Records Law authorizes Clerk of Courts to establish uniform fee schedules for the reproduction of documents.
