It appears that the hospital could potentially engage in a contract for sponsorship under the provisions of R.S. 46:1075. The Attorney General has stated that under this statutory provision a public hospital could engage in sponsorship agreements, so long as the advertising value received from the sponsorship is equal to or greater than the value of the funds used in agreeing to the sponsorship. AG. Op. No. 93-0558.
