Yes. R.S. 38:2212(O)(2)(b) allows an addendum to be issued within 72 hours of opening of bids to extend the bid opening for at least 7 days but not more than 21 working days without the requirement of re-advertising. The addendum must state the revised time and date of opening of bids. Within 24 hours of issuing the addendum the city must notify all prime bidders of the addendum by fax, email or hand-delivery.
