La. R.S. 33:4711.1, specifically authorizes political subdivision to auction surplus property through Internet computer auction websites. Given the way such auctions work, when a political subdivision advertised the auction there was not a requirement to re-advertise under the facts presented (i.e., failure to receive minimum bid while auction was on-going) in order to keep the auction open for bid on the website.
