In order to sell the brass casings, the Sheriff must follow the Surplus Property Law. The Sheriff should get a scrap dealer to quote a minimum price of brass per pound and that should then be the minimum price used in the advertisement. If for some reason the Sheriff accepts an offer below the minimum price, he will have to justify the sale.
