La. R.S. 42:1167 states that judges are governed “exclusively by the provisions of the Code of Judicial Conduct” as administrated by the Judiciary Commission. Therefore, it does not appear that the Code of Governmental Ethics/Ethics Board applies to them. However, the city court may wish to call the Ethics Board to confirm.
