The public entity may utilize either the purchase of materials and supplies procedure under R.S. 38:2212.1 (three quotes by telephone, fax, email, or other printable electronic format) or the RFP procedure under R.S. 38:2237. If this RFP process is utilized, then the public entity must choose the proposal that is most advantageous to the public entity using the criteria set forth under the RFP.
