R.S. 33:463 requires that a Lawrason Act municipality’s minutes shall acknowledge that the financial statements have been produced and are available for public inspection. The municipality’s minutes are required to be published in the Official Journal pursuant to R.S. 43:144. However, the municipality is not required to publish its annual audit.
Once the municipality’s audit has been received and accepted by the Legislative Auditor, the audit will be made electronically available on the LLA’s website and can be found at: https://www.lla.la.gov/reports-data/
